1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how the NorrNote Android application ("NorrNote", "the app") handles information. NorrNote is developed and published under the NORRVIND name.
2. Data stored on your device
NorrNote may store information that you create or add in the app, including notes, checklist items, reminder settings, categories, colours, attachments, app preferences and protection settings. This information remains on your device unless you explicitly use a feature that sends or backs up information elsewhere.
NorrNote does not require you to create a NORRVIND account to use the app.
3. Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose to use Google Drive backup, NorrNote connects directly to your Google account using Google's authorization mechanisms and stores a NorrNote backup in your own Google Drive. This feature is optional and user-initiated.
NORRVIND does not receive your Google password and does not operate an intermediary server for these backups. Access is limited to the permissions requested by the app for its own backup files. Data transmitted to Google Drive is sent using encrypted network connections provided by Google APIs.
Information stored in Google Drive is also subject to Google's applicable privacy terms and account controls.
4. Google Play Billing
NorrNote may offer an optional one-time Full upgrade through Google Play. Purchases are processed by Google Play. NORRVIND does not receive or store your payment card number or other full payment credentials.
The app may receive purchase status information from Google Play as needed to determine whether Full features are available on the device.
5. Device permissions and system features
Depending on the features you use, NorrNote may request access to Android system capabilities such as notifications, reminder scheduling, media or files selected by you, and sharing through Android. These permissions are used only to provide the corresponding app functionality.
You can manage Android permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work if the required permission is disabled.
6. Analytics, advertising and tracking
NorrNote does not include advertising and does not use advertising SDKs. The current version does not use NORRVIND-operated analytics or behavioural tracking services.
NORRVIND does not sell personal data.
7. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, remove the app data through Android, uninstall the app, or use an app feature that removes it. Deleted notes may remain in the app's trash for a limited recovery period before permanent deletion.
Google Drive backups remain in your Google account until they are replaced or removed through the app or your Google Drive controls, subject to Google's own retention mechanisms.
8. Security
NorrNote is designed to minimise unnecessary data transfer by keeping core content local. Network communication used for Google services is performed through secure HTTPS connections. Device security, Android backup settings and access to your Google account are also important parts of protecting your information.
9. Children
NorrNote is not designed or marketed as a children's application. The Google Play distribution settings may restrict availability to adult users in accordance with the app's declared target audience.
10. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when NorrNote features, third-party integrations or legal requirements change. The current version will be published at this URL with its effective date.
